When I’m not writing stories, making films, climbing rocks, or wandering through cities, I also enjoy teaching, interviewing artists, painting and taking photos.
visual art
I have mainly worked with oil paint, occasionally dabbling in ink and charcoal drawing, and mixed media/collage. My paintings and drawings have won art competitions and have been exhibited internationally.
teaching
I have taught groups and worked one-on-one with children, teens, and adults, in a variety of settings, from Montessori, to sports, to filmmaking workshops. I also have experience creating and tailoring curricula in film, editing, and storytelling.
conversations
In addition to interviewing artists for online and print publications, I have also lead a variety of filmmaker Q&As at the CPH:DOX International Film Festival, interviewing and leading conversations with documentary filmmakers at their screenings.
photography
I’ve worked on photography projects ranging from professional headshots and family portraits to personal and professional events, including corporate parties and concerts.
I particularly love travel photography and shooting on film.
